A venti anni entri a far parte dei Deep Purple, Leader Vocal insieme a Glenn Hughes, un progetto tra i più sottovalutati nella storia del rock, che si conclude nel 1976, ricordato spesso, soltanto come il periodo dello scioglimento di uno dei più grandi gruppi rock di tutti i tempi. David Coverdale ha continuato a credere nella sua interiore poesia musicale, creando i Whitesnake. 1987, l’Album che ha decretato il successo anche in America, compie trent’anni. Un altro episodio della vita di David Coverdale, in cui ogni risorsa è stata destinata al suo sogno di entrare nella storia del Rock, sogno, concretizzato lo scorso anno con l’introduzione nella Rock&Roll Hall of Fame, proprio per il contributo alla storia dei Deep Purple. Anima Blues e voce e suono Heavy Metal Rock. Uno stile musicale quello dei Whitesnake, capace di rimanere fedele alle sue pure origini affrontando sempre pronti e sognanti le evoluzioni o degressioni della musica Rock nel tempo. The Purple Album del 2015, tributo alle canzoni scritte ed interpretate con i Deep Purple, è l’ultimo lavoro dei Whitesnake, Forevermore del 2011, l’ultimo album di inediti. I Whitesnake sono David Coverdale, tantissimi i cambi di formazione nella sua storia, ma ogni musicista ha sempre trovato in Coverdale e nei Whitesnake, luogo, dove poter essere sempre se stesso.
